Covid-19 strategy

Karapiro Rowing Inc. (KRI) want all our volunteers, rowers, spectators, staff and community to know that when attending a regatta at Lake Karapiro that we are taking Covid-19 very seriously.  We do have a strategy in place and you will see this play out prior to, and during regattas and indeed if alert levels change.

KRI will determine at 8, 6, 4, and 2 weeks out from a regatta using a predetermined risk assessment matrix, if a regatta can proceed. The matrix is primarily aligned with Government and Rowing New Zealand guidelines surrounding events and Covid-19 in New Zealand. We will communicate to the rowing community as soon as reasonably possible if there is a change to the status of any regatta due to Covid-19.

When next at Karapiro Rowing you will notice that contact tracing QR codes are displayed on entry points. We encourage you to download the Government App and use it when at Lake Karapiro. App details can be found HERE

As per Government guidelines, we ask that you stay home if you feel unwell or have been in recent close contact with someone who has contracted Covid-19.
